New Name, Same Power

The plugin has been renamed from PuffEnchants to EnchantsPlus. Same great features, fresh new identity.

◆ All commands updated: /enchantsplus (or /ep for short)
◆ All permissions now use enchantsplus.* instead of the old name

Fixed

• Plugin no longer crashes on startup when commands are not found
• Fixed an error that happened when the plugin tried to save data while shutting down
• Fixed a bug where enchanting too fast could bypass the cooldown limit

Better Performance

• Enchant lookup is now faster - less server lag when opening the GUI
• Lapis storage saves properly even during server shutdown
• Config changes are now saved to disk automatically after validation

Security Improvements

• Database login details are no longer shown in the server console
• Items with fake enchant data are now detected and blocked
• Permission names are now consistent everywhere

More Reliable

• Enchanting XP is now given directly through the AuraSkills system - no more hidden failures
• Works more reliably with future AuraSkills updates

Version Support

• Tested and working on Paper 1.21 through 1.21.4
• Prepared for future Paper versions - should work smoothly for updates to come
• Java 21 required

If you are updating from the old version:

• Delete the old PuffEnchants.jar file
• Place EnchantsPlus.jar in your plugins folder
• Rename the folder from plugins/PuffEnchants to plugins/EnchantsPlus (or let the plugin create a new one)
• Update your permissions - puffenchants.* is now enchantsplus.*
• Players will need to use /enchantsplus or /ep instead of the old command
