You can hide the Heart Recipe button now, and guiconfig.yml picks up new keys on its own.

❤️ Hiding the Heart Recipe Button

If your server does not craft hearts, the Heart Recipe button in /ls recipe was still sitting there. New toggle in guiconfig.yml:

Set to false and the button is gone from the menu, and clicking that slot does nothing. Default is true, and the beacon recipe is unaffected.

This only hides the button in the recipe viewer. To remove the recipe itself, use crafting-recipe.enabled as before.

🔧 guiconfig.yml Updates Itself

Only config.yml used to pick up new keys on an upgrade. guiconfig.yml does the same now, so the new toggle above is added to your existing file for you and future GUI keys will be too. Your own values are left alone.

One thing to know: comments in guiconfig.yml are stripped when the file is rewritten, the same as config.yml has always done.

📦 Upgrading

Stop the server, swap in zLifeSteal-2.7.0.jar, start it again. Nothing to edit by hand.

2.5.3 FIXED

  • Consume particles now display correctly in first-person, with a wider burst around you so others can see it too.
  • Consume sound now plays clearly at full volume for you, and softer for nearby players.
  • Fixed a 2.5.2 bug where pop-animation was not written to disk. Configs now self-heal on boot and missing keys are added automatically.
  • Upgrading from a broken 2.5.2 that had totem-pop: false? Re-set pop-animation: false after restart. Everything else is kept.

  • Renamed totem-pop to pop-animation.
  • Configs from 2.5.0 and 2.5.1 upgrade automatically on first start.

2.5.1 IMPROVED

  • The pop animation now shows your custom heart texture instead of the vanilla totem, visible in both first and third person.

  • Resource pack support on every item (hearts, golden hearts, revive beacon, custom hearts, GUI items) via custom-model-data. Set to 0 to disable.
  • Consume effects when a heart or golden heart is used: configurable particles, sound and a pop animation.
