What TalkingVillagers Does
Villagers are the most common mob players meet. But vanilla gives them nothing to say. They stand in silence, trade, and get ignored. TalkingVillagers gives every villager a voice tied to their profession, their world, and what is actually happening around them.
Each profession has its own dialog pool. Cartographers call out Mending trades. Farmers talk about crops and weather. Clerics offer blessings. Blacksmiths discuss weapons. Fishermen tell sea stories. Baby villagers babble. Nitwits are confused.
World events trigger village-wide reactions. A dragon dies - villagers celebrate. A raid starts - they panic. A player dies nearby - they mourn. The weather shifts - they comment. A bell rings - they get annoyed. Someone holds an emerald - they get excited and follow.
Nearby villagers react to what they see. One villager trades, and others nearby comment with jealousy and competition. The village feels like a community, not a set of silent NPCs.
No conflicts with NPC plugins. Citizens, FancyNPCs, ShopKeepers, and zNPCs are detected and skipped automatically. You do not need to configure anything for it to work.
Profession Dialogs
Each profession has 10 dialogs drawn from a random pool. No two villagers sound the same.

| Librarian | Books, reading, enchantment lore |
