zDailyQuests v1.1.2
A fix for /dq throwing an error on 26.3 instead of opening the board.

🔧 Quest Board Fixed on 26.3

On 26.3, /dq threw a console error instead of opening the quest board. Fixed. The board is now a standard menu, so it works on everything from 1.21 through 26.x. Your quests, progress and data were never affected.

Same layout, same items, same click to claim, decoration buttons and open sound. Your menu section in config.yml works exactly as before.

🔒 Items Stay Locked

The board still can't be looted. Clicks, drags, shift-clicks and creative pickups are all blocked. One small change: while the board is open, you can't move items around in your own inventory below it either. Close the board and your inventory is back to normal.

📦 Upgrading

Swap in zDailyQuests-1.1.2.jar and restart. No config, language or quest file changes. TheAPI is still required, so keep it installed.

zDailyQuests v1.1.1
A quest written with target-type: ANY sat at zero forever. It counts properly now.

🎯 ANY Means Anything

ANY was being read as the name of an item rather than as a wildcard, so every catch, break or kill was compared against an item called ANY. Nothing ever matched and the quest never moved.

From this build, target-type: ANY counts anything for that objective, exactly the same as leaving the line out. * works too.

objective: FISH
target-type: ANY
target-amount: 8

This covers every objective, not just fishing, so a BREAK or KILL quest written the same way works as well.

If ANY sits in a list alongside other values, the whole list becomes "anything", so only use it where you really want everything to count.

📦 Install

Stop the server, replace the old jar in plugins/ with zDailyQuests-1.1.1.jar, and start it again. No config or language changes, and your quest files stay exactly as they are. A quest already on a board picks up the fix as soon as the new jar is running.

Cannot update right now? Delete the target-type: ANY line from the quest file and run /dq reload. No target-type has always meant any, so that works on 1.1.0 too.

zDailyQuests v1.1.0
Menu decoration items can now be real clickable buttons, and your configs migrate themselves on every update.

🖱 Clickable Menu Buttons

Any custom menu item can now carry an actions list and become a real button. Actions run top to bottom on each click, so one button can send a message, play a sound, run a warp, and shut the menu all in one press. Supported actions:

  • [close] shut the board
  • [refresh] rebuild the board in place, so progress numbers go live again
  • [player] <command> run the command as the clicker
  • [console] <command> run the command from console (great for permission-gated commands)
  • [message] <text> send the clicker a chat line
  • [broadcast] <text> send everyone a chat line
  • [sound] <key> play a sound to the clicker

%player% is swapped for the clicker's name in every action with no dependency needed, so [console] give %player% diamond just works. With PlaceholderAPI installed, its placeholders resolve inside commands and text too.

Backward compatible: menus without any actions look and behave exactly as before.

🔄 Auto-Migrating Configs

Your config.yml and lang.yml now migrate themselves on every update. When a new build adds a key, it's poured into your existing file with your values and comments kept exactly as they are, no more renaming files or pasting keys by hand. Runs on startup and on /dq reload.

✨ Cleaner Weapon & Tool Icons

With hide-item-attributes: true, quest icons using swords, pickaxes, and other tools now hide the durability line too, not just the attack damage and attack speed lines. Icons are display only, so they're marked unbreakable to strip the "Durability: X / Y" line vanilla adds. Flip the toggle to false and both come back.

📦 Install

Replace the old jar in plugins/ with zDailyQuests-1.1.0.jar and restart, or run /dq reload. Your configs migrate automatically, nothing to redo.
