Discord Integration

PixelEast and Discord work together in two ways. Any member can link their Discord account to pick up roles and perks automatically, and creators can connect the PixelEast bot to their own server to announce sales, hand out customer roles and post product updates. This page covers both.

Link your Discord account

Linking ties your Discord account to your PixelEast account so the bot can recognise you and manage your roles for you. It takes a few seconds and you can disconnect again at any time from the same page.

   Open the Discord Link page in your profile.

   Tick the consent box. We only read your Discord ID, username, avatar and email, and we never post messages on your behalf.

   Click Connect with Discord and approve it on Discord. You are sent straight back, now linked.

What linking unlocks

Once your account is linked, everything below happens on its own. There is nothing else to set up.

Open a profile straight from Discord

Once your account is linked, anyone can pull up your PixelEast profile straight from Discord. Right-click a member (or open the Apps menu on one of their messages), choose PixelEast and then Profile, and the bot replies with a tidy card showing their avatar, their creator stats (products, sales and downloads), the date they joined, and a button that opens their full PixelEast page. The reply is only visible to the person who asked.

It works in every server the PixelEast bot is in, and only for members who have linked their account, which is one more good reason to link yours. A member who has not published anything just shows their join date, and if someone has not linked at all, the bot simply says so.

The PixelEast bot for creators

If you sell on PixelEast you can run our bot in your own Discord server. It announces your sales, gives buyers a customer role the moment they purchase, and posts your product updates to a channel of your choice. You manage all of it from the PixelEast Bot page in your creator dashboard.

Connect the bot to your server

   Open the PixelEast Bot page in your dashboard and start the setup. You will be sent to Discord to pick the server you want to add the bot to.

   Approve the invite. The bot needs the Manage Roles permission, and its own role has to sit above any role you want it to hand out (see Keeping the bot healthy).

   Back in the dashboard you will see Bot Connected with your server name. From here you can set up everything below.

Sale notifications

Get told the moment one of your products sells. Open Sales notifications on the bot page, turn the feature on, and choose how you want to hear about it. You can use either option or both.

Automatic roles on purchase

Under Product Role Assignments you can tie each paid product to a Discord role. When someone buys it, the bot gives them that role in your server, so a customer list and access to buyer-only channels build themselves.

Pick the role from the dropdown, which lists the roles the bot is allowed to assign. For the buyer to actually receive it they need their Discord account linked and to be a member of your server.

Product update announcements

Each product has its own Notify settings. Turn notifications on, give it a Channel ID to post in, and optionally a Ping Role ID so the right buyers get a heads-up. When you publish a new version, the bot announces it for you.

Write your own message template and drop in any of these placeholders. The bot fills them in for each release:

You can also set a custom image for the announcement. If you do not, your profile picture is used. The dashboard shows a live preview of exactly what gets sent to Discord before you save.

Keeping the bot healthy

Almost every problem comes down to permissions or the role order. Three things to keep right:

• The bot's role sits above every role it assigns. Discord will not let a bot manage a role placed higher than its own.
• The bot keeps the Manage Roles permission, and can see and post in the channels you gave it.
• Buyers have linked their Discord account and are members of your server, otherwise there is no one for the bot to give a role to.

The bot page has a Bot Errors panel that logs anything that went wrong, such as a missing role, a permission problem or a member it could not find, so you can spot and fix issues quickly.
