Review Policy
Last updated 16 June 2026
The reviews left on products across PixelEast play an essential role. They provide our creators with meaningful feedback on their work and help prospective buyers judge the quality of a product before they purchase it. Whether you are here as a buyer or as an author, reading through this guide in full will serve you well.
Requirements
In order to submit a review, you must be signed in to your PixelEast account and have downloaded the resource you intend to review.
If you received a resource as a gift, you are still welcome to leave a review on it. Reviews on gifted resources are clearly marked with a "Gifted" tag and do not count toward the resource's overall rating or relevancy score.
Expectations
Every review posted on a resource must meet all of the expectations set out below.
- All reviews have to be written in the English language.
- Reviews must be relevant to the product.
- All claims made within a review must be truthful and accurate.
- Reviews are not the place to ask support-related questions, contact the creator directly instead.
- Reviews are not the place to raise copyright infringement accusations, submit a claim or report instead.
- Reviews may not advertise, promote, or reference competing products.
- Only one review may be left per user for each resource.
- Reviews must reflect the latest version of the resource available at the time of writing.
- Users may not request that a specific star rating be given on a resource.
- Reviews may not be given in exchange for a review in return.
- Reviews may not be left on resources you have contributed to.
- Reviews must comply with all of PixelEast's terms.
Examples of reviews that would be considered invalid:
- "I asked for a feature and creator just said no, very rude."
- "There is error on startup, how do I fix this?"
- "Creator is clearly using stolen code from another project, do not buy."
- "Don't waste your money, resource Y does the same thing better."
- "I left you 5 stars, please go review my resource too!"
- "First!"
Dispute process
If you have received a review on your resource that you believe breaks our policies, we ask that you first attempt to resolve the matter directly with the reviewer by contacting them. If that does not work, you can open a dispute by submitting a support ticket.
During a review dispute, be sure to present your claims along with the proof associated with them. A failure to cooperate will result in the dispute being decided against you. Throughout the dispute, please remain civil and respectful.
At the conclusion of the dispute, the staff member will provide one of two resolutions:
- The review is entirely rule-abiding and will remain in place, unless it is later modified in a way that no longer complies.
- The review is entirely rule-violating and will be removed. A penalty will be issued to the reviewer's account.
Conclusion
Reviews are one of the most valuable tools our community has for recognizing great work and guiding buyers toward the products that are right for them. We ask that every member of PixelEast, whether buyer or author, approaches them with honesty, fairness, and respect.
These policies may be updated from time to time as PixelEast grows, so we encourage you to revisit this page now and then. If you ever have a question about a review or about this policy, our support team is always happy to help.
